Requirements Definition

1-Integration's PLM Functional Requirements template provides a comprehensive list of requirements for a full-function PLM System. The 100+ page PLM Requirements template is quickly reviewed and modified with our customer at the beginning of the project to help prioritize the features that are most important to your organization.

If you have already selected a PLM solution, we utilize the OOTB PLM software to help validate the requirements through the actual demonstration of specific functionality (search, checkout, etc.)

If you haven't selected a PLM solution, the PLM Functional Requirements document can be used as the Request for PLM Proposals that is distributed to vendors during the system selection process.

The objectives of this completed Functional Requirements document are:

  • To describe the existing operating environment and detail the existing hardware and software that will be integrated into or interfaced with the PLM System.
  • To define the requirements for the PLM system in sufficient detail to facilitate the design and implementation of an on-target, effective PLM solution.
  • To establish a basis for agreement with the selected PLM services provider regarding the expectations and functional requirements for the PLM solution.
  • To provide a baseline document that defines the PLM requirements that can be maintained over the life of the system.

Our PLM Functional Requirements template integrates 1-Integration's 15 years of experience and "best practices" with PLM systems and their application into a wide variety of design/manufacturing operations.
